Client Reviews

Discover the magic of living in a Tiny Home SA creation through the heartfelt words of our satisfied clients. Our client reviews showcase the incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into every single one of our tiny home builds.

We would like to thank our builder Tiny Homes SA for the wonderful home we are now living in. We are very happy with the end result. Mark was great to work with. He assisted us through the original design, plans, council development, building & planning approval process. Mark kept us up to date throughout the build and worked closely with us on our interior design selections. Our house is built to code, came in on budget, looks great, is energy efficient and very comfortable to live in. We highly recommend Tiny Homes SA for anyone in the market for a container style tiny home.
Thank you.

I met Mark Witter at the Paskeville field day in 2021, where he had a display container-based tiny home and a brochure showing different styles on offer. When my wife and I were preparing to move from Adelaide to Jamestown, we visited Mark at his property in December 2021 to discuss various options. We were impressed by his straightforward attitude – particularly regarding the general difficulties and the probable increasing costs of obtaining building materials in the housing industry during the COVID situation. He also recommended moving from a container based tiny home to a slightly wider steel frame base/wooden construction. His estimated time for building was approximately 4 months, much shorter than estimates from other builders (up to a year).

Having completed all the necessary preparatory documentation and approvals, we signed the contract to build at the end of August, 2022. During this time, our dealings with Mark had been personable and prompt, as we discussed the finer details associated with designing our own house layout. (He rarely failed to answer his phone or call back in a short time.) During the construction time, he welcomed our regular progress inspections during which we were able to see the quality of his work. He provided regular updates on the progress of construction, advising us of any delays in material supplies (particularly windows, sliding doors and the non-standard kitchen/laundry arrangement), also raising any other concerns that he thought might need to be addressed.

Despite the above-mentioned delays and some modifications which we sought during construction, the house was delivered in 2 modules, to site at the end of February, only 2 months more than the original estimate 14 months before. Costs for which Mark had direct control were adhered to. This included the estimated cost for preparatory and final site work (module connection, house tie down and construction of decking). The minor modifications which required some reworking of the building incurred either no extra or minimal additional expense. We did however incur additional expense for electrical work and transport, beyond expectations – the former due to changes in the standard typical wiring layout; the latter due to a change from the standard 5O to 15O roof pitch that required a completely different transport arrangement. Mark agreed to bear a portion of the extra cost associated with the latter.

Overall, my wife and I wholeheartedly recommend Mark’s professionalism, his attention to detail, the quality of his work and his obvious desire to please us to anyone who is considering building with Tiny Homes SA. That is why we have written this review and have provided photos of the completed, functioning house for Mark’s promotional use. We are absolutely delighted with the function of the home. Despite the compact size (72 sq. m. 2 bedrooms, study interior plus 2 x 9 sq. m. exterior decking), the house feels remarkably spacious for my wife, myself and our adult daughter. We have no problems with anyone wanting to use this layout for their own purpose. (The lounge windows were deepened from 600 to 900 mm and the kitchen window was raised in height.)
